Leo Acadia
Leo Acadia has created colorful digital illustrations for a wide range of clients - magazines such as Time and Reader's Digest, and for book covers, advertising, and pharmaceuticals. He has earned recognition from The Society of Illustrators, Communication Arts, American Illustration, and The AltPick awards.
Actually, John S. Dykes creates these digital works under the name Leo Acadia. (See some of John's work here at TheISpot.) The styles are very different and showing them in the same portfolio or on the same web site can be confusing to art directors. The best way to pursue both is to promote them separately. The approach from concept thru execution is entirely different. "With this style, I think mainly in terms of shapes, textures, and layers - as if I am working with cut paper - trying for a bold, more simple and graphic look. I usually shoot for a quick conceptual read that is clear whether the final size will be poster or postage stamp".
