Sarah Beetson
Sarah is a graduate of Falmouth College of Arts in Cornwall, UK. Her work reflects her own energy and innovation: "I am inspired and obsessed by fashion -- from vintage clothing to 1980's Pepsi logos". Her recent published work includes illustration for The Oxo Book, and other clients include Ford, Julien Macdonald, ChildLine and Stella McCartney. In 2001 Sarah placed first in the coveted Pentland Prize for Fine Art. Sarah works in mixed media generating ideas on paper and finals on wood at varying scales. Using photographs as a starting point, often styling the photoshoots, her paintings combine brightly colored lines with gouache, acrylic and spray paint. Applied elements include everything from tissue paper, sticky dots and sequins to colorful buttons and sweets.
