Robert Casilla Robert Casilla, received a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree from the School of Visual Arts in New York City. Casilla an artist/illustrator of Hispanic background has illustrated many multicultural children's books, as well as biographies. FIRST DAY IN GRAPES was recently awarded the Pura Belpre Honor Award by ALA. Casilla is a member of the Society of Illustrators and the Society of Children's Book Writer's and Illustrators. |
