Jeff Crosby
Jeff Crosby attended the MFA illustration program at the School of Visual Arts. For sixteen years he has been freelancing, doing work for editorial and children's book publishers, as well as advertising and design agencies.
He has illustrated five children's books with Grosset & Dunlap, including "Coat of Arms" and "Dragons." He illustrated "Brave Cloelia" for Getty Publications. Jeff co-wrote and co-illustrated with Shelley Ann Jackson "Little Lions, Bull Baiters & Hunting Hounds: A History of Dog Breeds,"(published by Tundra Books) which won a Foreword magazine's best nonfiction children's book of 2009. Jeff and Shelley have a companion book on the history of horse breeds called "Harness Horses, Bucking Broncos, and Pit Ponies" which will be out in October 2011. In July 2011, Jeff's first solo picture book that he wrote and illustrated, "Wiener Wolf", will be released by Hyperion.
Jeff's work has been selected for inclusion in several illustration annuals such as the Society of Illustrators, Communication Arts, Spectrum, and American Illustration. He currently lives in Austin with his wife,Shelley, and daughter and three dogs.
