Janis Dougherty
Janis Dougherty is a visual artist who specializes in two distinctly opposite disciplines of illustration: children's and medical illustration. She began her career as a medical illustrator and animator where she created interactive teaching games for middle and high school curriculum. This came just after she earned her MFA from the Rochester Institute of Technology.
For the past two years, Janis has worked with 223 Post Services, a post-production house based in Greensboro, North Carolina. Here, she servers as acting Creative Director and as the in-house animator and illustrator. Additionally, Janis is in her seventh year working as an illustrator for the medical and children's book community.
