Dung Hoang

Like many illustrators, Dung began drawing at a very early age. But it wasn't until six years ago that he decided to illustrate professionally. Trained as a graphic designer and art director for some 14 years, Dung's design work has been recognized by Communication Arts, AIGA, The One Show, The Addys, Graphis, Print, and the Library of Congress. With a fondness for all things discarded, such as old anatomy books, thrown-away ephemera, wood type, etc., Dung likes to combine them into his work. He uses traditional fine art techniques such as silkscreening, color transfers, oil and acrylic painting along with Adobe Photoshop to give his work a worn, weathered look.
