Brian Hubble
Brian Hubble currently lives and works as a painter and illustrator in Brooklyn, New York. His solo/group exhibitions including "One Long Nite in Switzerland" at The Wonk Gallery, Brooklyn, New York, "Brooklyn" at The Westport Arts Center in Westport, Connecticut; The Brooklyn Underground Film Festival, "Confluence" at Open Ground in Brooklyn, New York; "New Works" at Madarts Gallery in Brooklyn, New York; "Calendar Works" at Starch Gallery in Richmond, Virginia; and "Katherine Fletcher" at Edge Hill Gallery in Ormskirk, England. His work has been featured in over 70 publications throughout the United States including M.I.T. Technology Review, Psychology Today, Yale Alumni and The New York Times.
Brian attended The Illustration Academy in the summer of 2002. He received a Bachelor of Fine Arts from Virginia Commonwealth University in 2001 after studying painting at Edge Hill University in Liverpool, England and Latin and Biology at Christopher Newport University in Newport News, Virginia. Brian has also been honored with four awards for outstanding achievements in visual arts including The Illustration Academy Scholarship in 2002, and The Commonwealth Award three years consecutive (1999-2001).
In March 2005, an interview and several of Brian's works were featured in Print Magazine's New Visual Artist issue. He has also lectured at The Illustration Academy at Ringling University in Sarasota, Florida.
