Margaret Hurst
Drawing is fundamental for Margaret. Even when deciding what to major in going off to college she knew that art/drawing is a lifestyle. So she left St. Thomas and headed to Boston University where, of course, she studied English for four years. In her last semester she took a drawing class and remembered that her passion is drawing. She applied to Parsons School of Design and the rest is history.
Stories and drawing and art are what her life is about. There are pictures waiting to be thumbnailed and drawn everywhere. Drawing on location, reportage, is her favorite thing to do. That is where she spends most of her time being inspired by people and places. Making pictures is what life is about.
Teaching at Parsons, Pratt and Dalvero Academy are some of her most rewarding days.
