Don Jolley
Donal Jolley has been a successful freelance designer and illustrator since 1994. He is the co-author of "Beyond Digital Photography: Transforming Photos into Fine Art" and is featured in many digital "how-to" books and magazines, including The Photoshop CS/CS2 WOW! Book, The Photoshop CS3/CS4 WOW! Book, Going Digital, The Painter WOW! series, and Photoshop User magazine.
Don prefers to remain somewhat reclusive and has enjoyed a strictly word-of-mouth clientele for over a decade. His work for Turning Points Devotional Magazine was instrumental in building domestic and international circulation while gaining a reputation as the premier religious publication of its kind artistically, using many different design styles on a monthly basis.
Don's clients have mostly consisted of advertising agencies, religious publishers and small companies and non-profits seeking help with their promotional materials. He strictly does not enter his work into design or illustration competitions.
Don's cartooning has been purposefully limited to a charitable endeavor until 2009. Ordering his pads and pens in bulk, he is rarely found without his drawing materials and a few happy kids hovering about waiting for a drawing. He volunteered at Children's Hospital of Atlanta for many years, drawing for and entertaining kids and their families at bedside, giving away literally thousands of finished drawings.
Don lives in Johns Creek, Georgia with his wife, children and constant studio companion, Watson the parrot.
