Ken Joudrey
After graduating from Art Center in 1982, Ken began his career in New york City and has
worked for major publishers and design firms ever since, winning many awards in CA and the Society of Illustrators Annuals. His finely crafted layers of oil painting have given way to the digital layers of Photoshop and Painter. Ken enjoys a wide range of subject matter,from book covers by best selling authors such as Kingsley Amis, Barbra Kingsolver and Larry MacMurtry, to national packaging such as Celestial Seasonings and Tropicana .His work was even featured in the Steven King movie, Secret Window. He’s also lived in a wide range of climates leaving Canada and New York City to settle with his wife and daughter and cat in San Diego. He currently is the president of the San Diego Society of Illustrators .
