Nancy Lane
Chinese painting has been a strong influence on my current style, which could be described as simplified realism with flowing line and muted, harmonious color. I aim for a feeling of grace, elegance and serenity. Favorite subjects of mine are children, animals, people, and nature. Drawing with a bamboo brush and ink, I focus on capturing the energy in the line; then I add watercolor in a limited palette. I also paint in a more realistic style, which can be seen on my own web site as well as my agent's. With 25 years of experience as an art director, then illustrator, I am proud of my long-term clients who count on me for my professionalism and friendliness.
