Anson Liaw
Anson Liaw is a graduate of the Ontario College of Art where he now teaches, excitedly sharing his passion for communication arts. Anson loves to convey multiple ideas mixing graphic, linear and painterly techniques, embracing each new assignment with anticipation about the concept he will convey. This approach has awarded him great recognition from many U.S. and Canadian annual shows, and inclusion in Luerzer’s ARCHIVE 200 Best Illustrators” Worldwide.
Anson's thought provoking illustrations lend themselves to a range of editorial work as well as corporate imagery. His newest venue is branding for Toronto's convivial restaurant, Marcatto. Anson's b/w murals and signage have created a whole new ambiance for this popular spot. During the rare moments when he isn't teaching, thinking about, or creating art, Anson avidly plays ball hockey, and pretends he's a sponge, absorbing the world around him.
