PJ Loughran began his career doing illustrations for the Op-Ed pages of the New York Times while attending Parsons School of Design. Since then PJ has contributed to more than 300 publications and campaigns for clients including Sports Illustrated, Esquire, GQ, Time, Newsweek, Fast Company, Simon and Schuster, Fortune, Forbes, Nike, Scholastic, the Utne Reader, Burton Snowboards and the Washington Post. Over the last 8 years, PJ's work has been recognized by The Art Directors Club of New York, American Illustration, Communication Arts Magazine, Print Magazine, RSVP, the Society of Publication Designers and the Society of Illustrators of New York and Los Angeles.

In his initial years following graduation from Parsons, PJ also worked in the interactive world, serving as Design Director and Creative Director at AGENCY.COM, one of the largest multimedia development firms in the world. During his tenure there, PJ helped AGENCY.COM win over 30 prestigious awards through his contributions on projects for clients including Coca-Cola, Nike (Michael Jordan), British Airways, American Express, Monsanto, Hitachi, Harvard Business School and the independent film showcase, Urban Desires.

Since 1999, PJ has been back at Parsons as mentor, teaching Illustration. And most recently, PJ has revisited an earlier passion for music, completing his first full-length CD last January , and performing for audiences in venues across the country for the past two years, including openings for REM, Maroon 5, Jonny Lang, the North Mississippi All-Stars and Todd Rundgren.
