Steve Meek

The first illustrations I did for hire were of muscle cars painted on T-shirts for my grammar school classmates. In college, freelancing for an ad agency, I drew pointillist images of soaring airplanes and happy clouds for newspaper ads. After college, I drew logos, portraits of business people, children exercising, people staring at computers, musical instruments, golfers, clowns, fishes, a goat, cute dogs and cats, Kafka and all manner of images for the editorial, corporate and advertising markets. I have created a new look that incorporates drawing, digital photography and textures from many sources: sometimes a worn sign, a little graffiti, or something from the neighborhood. These disparate images are assembled together forming unique collages.
