Amy Saidens
Trained as a traditional painter, Amy Saidens began her illustration career in the late 90's at Microsoft's now defunct sidewalk.com. There she was given the opportunity to transfer her tactile skills to a computer and a wacom tablet, and quickly went on to illustrate columns and articles for the hip website. Soon after, she became the pen behind the "Blissgirl", creating over a dozen covers for the well-known spa catalog. Inspired by everything from vintage cookbooks to high fashion, her work can presently be seen in various lifestyle magazines, gift books and ad campaigns. Amy graduated from the Rhode Island School of Design and currently lives in Brooklyn, NY.
