Robert de Michiell
Robert de Michiell's hip and humorous illustrations appeared regularly in The New Yorker, for whom he has also created promotions and invitations.He draws the celebrity winner/loser art for Entertainment Weekly. In addition to extensive editorial work, advertising clients include American Express, Absolut Vodka, and AT&T.
Profiles of his work are included in Lee Lorenz's The Art of the New Yorker, Steve Heller's The Savage Mirror: The Art of Contemporary Caricature, and This Face You Got--The Art of the Illustrator.
His work has been honored by the Society of Publication Designers, Print's Regional Design Annual, How, and Communications Arts.
A 1980 graduate of the Rhode Island School of Design, Robert resides in New York City.
